WHAT’S ON
Our Mermaid Nippers recently participated in our annual Community Day where they learn the real reason behind surf lifesaving, giving back to the community! They participated in a lapathon event collecting sponsors and donations to raise money for 2 charities; RUN DIPG (a foundation set up to find a cure for a terminal brain cancer affecting children ) and one of our u12 nippers Jack Muller who has been fighting a cancerous spinal tumor. The kids raised an incredible $5086 and at our presentation day and the 1st year anniversary of the passing of one of our nippers best friends to DIPG we presented representatives for the 2 causes with cheques. A great effort by all and showing what can be achieved when we work together as a community. @rundipg

Our Mermaid Beach AEME SLSC competitors at the Yamba Masters Carnival were in fine form on the weekend! The team of 16 had a great day of tough competition, great weather (the BOM got it wrong again) and lots of fun and friendship. I was in awe of them going out in the conditions, as it was not easy! Thanks to Paul Roberts for the great pics!
